Questinfo

Questinfo is information pertaining to how to complete a quest or acquire an item.

[edit] MUD Definition

From "help questinfo":

The Two Towers respects the right of each player to solve a quest on their own without having the ending spoiled for them. However, we recognize that you may get stuck and require some outside help.

It is not illegal to ask for help on a quest nor to help someone on a quest; however, any quest information must be delivered via a private or off-mud communication and never on the public mud channels such as comm, guild lines, or boards.

We also ask that you try to only give as much information as is necessary to help the player to the next step of their quest, rather than giving out complete start-to-finish quest solutions. This makes the game more fun for all involved.

[edit] QI on the T2TWiki

QI, while not illegal, is obviously a bit taboo, and frankly unwelcome to many people. We here at the t2twiki will try to provide thematic descriptions and the like free of QI, and an alternate version of the same relevant page with the spoilers - for certain items.

QI Rating

  • All quests and items listed on the wiki will have a "QI Rating" of "1" or "2".
A "1" rating indicates that a certain amount of questinfo is allowed for this particular item. Helpful notes, better directions (though preferably not exact aliases, please), long descriptions, and a less thematic version of the quest are all welcome on these pages.
A "2" rating indicates that this quest or item is either unique, new, or is difficult for balance reasons. We cannot allow ALL information on these items because it not only takes away from their mystique, but could actually interfere with in-game balances set in place. Especially good or sought-after gear is often balanced with a difficult quest, and we have no wish to remove that balance entirely. Most information will be highly limited on these few items and quests.

Difficulty

  • Difficulty is obviously subjective, but it should reflect how "difficult" a particular quest should probably be for a solo level 19 character with full stats. The default difficulty is "3."
