(Redirected from Mounts)
Mounts are animals which may be ridden. Most of them are horses or comparable land animals, but there are also a few which can fly.
Killing someone's mount, while the owner is online, is counted like a theft of 100 gold and may be reported at a courthouse.
[edit] MUD Definition
from "help mounts" (reformatted):
[edit] Commands while not on a mount
- hitch <horse>: Hitch the horse to a hitching post, a specially coded object which is meant to keep horses from wandering off when left unattended.
- unhitch <horse>: Unhitch the horse from a hitching post.
- lead <horsename> : Lead the horse. This is having the horse follow you as you walk through rooms. For a horse which is tired and out of endurance, this is the only option available to the master. If a <horsename> is not provided, this will also make you stop leading any horse you are currently leading.
- mount <horse>: Mount up! Mount your horse and begin riding!
- mount name <horse> <name>: Give your horse a customized name.
- mount allow <horse> <name>: Let another player mount your horse as a passenger.
- mount reject <horse> <name>: Disallow a passenger from mounting your horse.
- mount tame <horse>: You can tame certain docile horses for your own use.
[edit] Commands while on a mount
- dismount: get off the horse
- spur/whoa: Increase or decrease the horse's speed.
- The speeds are: walk, trot, canter, gallop.
- Each speed has an associated endurance cost: 0 ep, 1 ep, 3 ep, 5 ep.
- The speed is the # of rooms moved per direction of movement.
- <direction>: north, south, east, west, etc. The standard directions for moving the horse around while riding.
- recall <name>: Recall a remembered location, and begin travel to there.
- remember <name>: Remember this location as an aliased name, for the mount to return to.
