Morpheus

Morpheus was one of the most dominant personalities to ever exist in Arda. Always direct and truthful, Morpheus shot for the moon and came down a star, only to end up burnt out like so many of his age and characteristics.

He started his life's journey as a scholar, mastering the ways of wizardry. After having traveled through several homes, he eventually found a place to belong, and joined the Rimsilval. Morpheus was gifted with extraordinary leadership skills, and would constantly sweep the friends and guildmates he was so loyal to after him, in order to accomplish a common goal. It was this attitude and dedication that brought him to change his art of lore to that of assassination, and helped him advance through the chain of command in the Rimsilval. Eventually becoming guildmaster, Morpheus led by example: while others might direct their members from afar, he would ceaselessly draw his blade and charge headlong into battle, as if daring his men to follow suit.

Sadly, that was the beginning of the end. The burden of responsibility dried the rivers of vigor that so thoroughly rushed through his veins during his younger days, and Morpheus had lost his flame. One day, Morpheus shocked his friends and guildmates by saying his goodbyes, leaving with tears and a smile to learn of the gift Eru gave to his secondborn children.
