In older days, when the hills were young and times were different, a young Silvan known only as Kazin strode into Framsburg. Of wizardry, he wanted to know more, and the Rim-Silval took him in as one of their own. Skill with spellbook and staff came easily to him, but perhaps too easily - for he shortly forsook the spellbook and staff for the dagger and the cloak.

As an assassin, Kazin found his true calling. He mastered the art of killing and took to it with glee, striking down his enemies with speed and skill. Few were the foes who escaped his nets, once cast! It is largely due to the dedication he showed in his service to the Rim-Silval, that the guild became such a powerful force in Arda.

He is remembered for who he was, as well as what he did. Before he departed to the West, he was known as one of the oldest living, active assassins. His level-headedness and maturity are missed by those who knew him, and if Mandos gives him leave to return to these shores, his friends will welcome him with open arms, and his enemies with stark terror.
