From "help bash":

Command: bash Syntax: bash <object>

This command will have your character try to bash the lock on the object specified. You may or may not succeed. If you fail, you won't be able to bash any more locks until a minute has passed. In addition, propelling your body at a lock and failing to open it may result in hurting yourself.
